Potential Fit Freak Needs Help
Hey Fit Freaks,
I bought my 09 Silver flake Fit Sport (Standard) off of the showroom floor, and have zero regrets. Is it possible to be more happy /w a car for 16,000 dollars?
I have a few questions, however, for the freaks here that have expirienced these issues previously. First, I want to elaborate on my situation I am under Honda's warranty (8-yr 80k) and thats not somthing I want to void. Secondly, I want to emphasize this car needs to last for awhile and I take more pride in her operating condition than speed, looks, or accessories.
My Issues: 1) Mountains/Hills in my area are sprawling and cover all of the ground worth traveling through. /w a good approach I can get through in 4th gear at around 65 MPH, but with california driving my arena this seems to be lacking. I am considering air/exhaust upgrades but know little about how to proceed. Is this the right course of action? How do I pursue this? are other options available? This car is small, and there are way too many 18-wheelers out here... I want to be seen before I am heard, this is one reason air/exhaust is so attractive to me. Besides it sounds Kewl. ^_^
2) Where can I get some larger pedals that don't look goofy, and are simply made to serve the purpose? I have size 14's and a standard tranny.
3) The audio system is great as far as functionability, however, I doesn't hit the low notes as well as I would expect. I don't want to go the glorified Caddilac route, I consider myself an audiophile not a basshead what are my options?
4) Weekly washing sessions with this deserts hard water and radiating sun leave me frustrated. What are some products that would do a better job protecting my Fits interior/Exterior?
Thanks for reading. I'm planning on adding some flare to my fit. Right now it looks like either a girl's car or a college kids car. After it's really me I'll take some pics.
Thanks for reading. You guys Rock!

Hi there and welcome!
The only point I would like to touch on is the audio...since your car is new the sound is quite choked at first. After many hours of break in it sounds pretty darn good. Bass is pretty well-rounded, though a lot of it is boomy. Mids are clear and though imaging is okay, you get used to it.
I'm actually impressed with the sound, and I thought the sound was tinny and lacking in bass when my car was new.
