Great Fit sales experience tonight!

Purchased a brand new '09 Honda Fit base automatic in blue sensation pearl from Capitol Honda in San Jose, Ca tonight. I highly recommend Hung Phan who works as the internet sales manager. He's awesome to work with and will get all 5's from me on the Honda customer survey. I experienced a few unexpected but very welcome surprises upon being introduced to my new Fit tonight at the dealership:

Received free mud guards all around

Received free floor mats

Received free clear door guards (by 3M) on all 4 doors

I paid msrp $16,020 + tax + license. Got approved at 5.74% APR. Lowest rate available. My credit score is 813.

Most Honda dealers here in the Bay Area are charging absurd mark ups on their Fit's. One dealer close to where I live was charging a $3,995 mark up on a Fit Sport automatic which stickers for $17,580 bringing the total to $21,575. That's absolutely insane!

By the way, blue sensation pearl really rocks...damn great color. I love it!

Congrats on the purchase!

Looks like you got a great price, but what about destination? I'm sure that was added on there.

Here in SoCal, hot cars like the Fit are always charged up to $5000 over sticker. What balls.

I guess that makes the prices close to Canadian pricing

$16,020 is msrp for a 2009 Honda Fit base automatic including destination.

What stupidity... people haven't learned from the overinflated housing bubble yet? Never paying over MSRP is like rule #1 in car buying. Those salesmen should be left without commissions and sent to the poor house... buyer strike.
