Silly question I'm sure... but what is the round cutout in the rear bumper of the 2009 Fit? When looking at the rear of the car, the round cutout is to the right. Is that for attaching a hitch or something? Does the cover just pop off with a screwdriver?

Yes, it just pops off with a screwdriver. You would want to put a thin cloth around the screwdriver though, so you don't scratch anything.

There should be a package of tools in with your spare tire (if in US) that goes along with it, and directions are in the manual.

There is also the same type of hole on the front of the car.
