Care to explain the "dealer prep" thing.

 

Never mind I don't need that interior pain protection crap but I will also ask them to throw in the wheel locks.

 

Well, when I ordered mine, I didn't want tint, interior exterior "protection" (wax and scotchguard) floormats and window etching. It would have come right off the truck. The one that came in had tint, wheel locks, the protection package, and floormats. Since I wanted no extras, and I have local places to get that done, I did not want to pay for the marked up price of the extras. He gave me all of that for about $200, so I took it.

I don't know if that is what you call dealer prep, but it is what I am referring to.

+1 for you! I wish I had known this when I was searching. It does give me a way to rate the "bad" dealers though.

 

Well, I'd still wait for the other car. Have you gone to CarMax to get a quote for your trade-in? CarMax will cut you a check on the spot. And they pay better than a lot of the Honda dealers.

But it's your nickel. They will re-sell your '07 for at least 15K, maybe even 16.

The rest sounds fine, unless you are going to be sorry you didn't wait for a red Fit.
