i checked Yakima.com for this since i have their crossbars i can re-use, but they say it is currently a work in progress and they allow you to enter your email for a update as to when it will be available.

i thought i read somewhere, though, that what fit the '08 will fit the '09?

I'm currently using thule aeroXT400 feet with 50" load bars, it fits on there perefectly (they were previously on an audi A4). my only concern is that the metal brackets on the feet could permanently warp the rubber around the outside of the door. but i guess that's the cost of carrying more sh*t on your car.

Do you have the easy release on your front tire of the bike? It may fit inside if you can...

It fits inside without even taking the front wheel off (the fit rocks), but then it's so precarious that there's really not room for much else, and god forbid I need to transport two bikes!

I'll be looking for a roof rack next year - hoping for something from Yakima that can be versatile with bike carrying capacity as well as a small cargo box for camping, where we would stow all our lighter weight items like sleeping bags, so we have more interior room, where we'd stow the heavier items.

i think yakima is cheaper? and as far as i can tell thule doesn't make a box that's small enough to really fit on the fit. everything they have is minimum 74" long

thule said their fit kit would be available in a month or so, i am waiting for that since i have had thule racks on all of my cars, and have piece by piece ended up with tons of parts for thule racks.
yakima makes a great rack as well.
and what do i carry on my roof? our two kayaks one is 16' and one is 14'. they dont fit inside!
the 16' is a wood kayak i built over the summer. when i get the rack i will post pics!
