Color Change: 2008/2009 Tidewater Blue Metallic

Hi, I'm new here, with my new 2009 Fit Sport in Tidewater Blue. My first choice was going to be Blackberry Pearl, but after chasing a poor girl through a shopping center parking lot with my camera and snapping a few photos, I wasn't so sure it was the color they made it out to be online. Fast forward a few days later, and I'm at the dealership. They tell me on the phone before heading over that they have silver, white and light blue. Well, I wasn't a fan of the light blue in 2008, so I didn't bother bringing my trade-in (1998 Honda Civic EX Coupe in Silver). Well, let me tell you, they changed the color of the 2009 Tidewater Blue, it is almost purple in the evenings. Forgive me if this has been discussed in another thread, I'm still learning my way around here. Well, the second day I had my car, we went out to the craft store, and there was a 2008 Tidewater Blue Fit right there in the parking lot! So, me being the loser I am, I parked next to it, and got out my camera. This is the result, mind you, it was on a off and on rainy day, so very overcast.

The other Fit is actually Lunar mist metallic which was an 07 color on base models only. Tidewater blue was introduced in 2008 on Base and Sport models. Lunar was horrible and came with tan interior no less. It was the only Fit that our dealer ever had make it on the lot. Tidewater does look better on the 09 than 08s though. Congrats on your purchase

My bad! I thought that was an 08, I think I'm still too excited about MY car to notice anything about other cars still. I have to brush up on the differences in the 07 and 08 models, I was wondering why I didn't like that color as much, I must have been seeing the 07. Either way, I like how my Fit turns purplish in the evening, now if I can learn how to work my camera properly to capture it. I'm now noticing the Fit with Bay Tags in the picture, the plates expire in 09 which means if they didn't transfer tags, they would have gotten them in 07. Seems so obvious now...

Can someone give me a crash course in the 07-08 differences that are easy to spot?

07 to 08 changes were just color No white for 08' Lunar mist became Tidewater and went to both base and sport, Blackberry pearl introduce on the sport model only. No tan interior on the 08s.

bumping this thread up again.

I recently purchased a TWB 2010 Fit--It will arrive next week. My first choice was blue sensation, but after seeing one TWB when I was back East, I decided it would be my second choice.
Dealer could not locate a blue sensation anywhere within 500 miles. I found one used with 13 K miles and a bunch of extras I did not want.

Yesterday my salesman was able to make a trade with a dealer in Denver for a TWB. I am happy with this--since there are so many Blue Sensation Pearls around here now--this might be a bit more unique.

I like the looks of both the older and the newer colors-- older color has more green, newer has more blue hues.

Hello

Honda Fit 2007 2008(gd) use paint blue B528M SIRIUS BLUE METALIC(lunar mist blue). While fit 2009 use code B549M SHERBET BLUE METALIC(tidewater blue). Both blue is not same but both color is in one blue family color.
