Use the remaining ~$800 (actually much more since you're not financing this portion) and buy a set of decent wheels and rubber. Now you've got a car that will run circles (albeit slowly) around a factory sport.

I got my base model used (with 15,000 miles)...so couldn't pass up an unbelievable deal.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm doing my Fit base to Fit Sport conversion right now. The only thing I'm missig is the side skirt. I've been looking everywhere and seems like the cheapest price I found is $430 shipped from hondapartsnow.com. Do you know any place that's selling it for cheaper?

I didn't realize the sport has a different tailgate and I've already purchase my oem spoiler.

1. Is there any difference besides the pre drilled holes?
2. After drilling holes into your base tailgate and adding the spoiler. Does it look 100% factory compared to the sport tailgate and spoiler?
3. Does water leak into your car when you wash it or when it rains?

Only other diff I know of is our base models have a key hole for use with a physical key and the sport models do not since they came with keyless (pushbutton) entry.
