Question?
Did you get the RHD or the LHD version?

I was on Cusco's site and saw this;

Strut tower bar for new Honda Fit(GE8) left handle version

We added strut tower bar for left handle versioned Honda Fit (GE8) to our line-up.
Using RHD version of the strut bar (386 549 A) to LHD versioned car, main shaft of the tower bar will conflict with reserve tank of break oil. So LHD version of the strut bar contains the stay to offset the tank.
Please make sure the version of the Fit when you order strut bar for new Fit.
Part No. 386 540 ALHD
Price: 15,000 jpy (excld. tax)
*The price is same as RHD version.

Thanks

Like Ash said.. the RHD version works just fine..... the only thing that is different is that they offer a bracket that lowers the brake fluid res. about 1/4 of and inch.... ( you can do the same by elongating the hole... thats what I did )

I'm confused on how this qualifies as a strut tower bar when it doesn't connect the strut towers?

I have a JS Racing strut bar which I don't think is as good as CUSCO.

The bolt holes are in a slightly different location and I can't fit the plastic cover after fitting. Can you fit the plastic covers with CUSCO.

Yes every piece in that pic was able to go back on without any problems.

The black wavy thing in the middle above the 4 bolts is replaced by a Cusco one. A blue bar straight angled and really thick that holds the middle of the Cusco bar to the chassis technically making it a 3 point.

On thing though. Everything is a bajillion times harder to reach/fit/dismantle with the Cusco bar on!

My JS Racing bar was a pain in the A ......s to fit and I can't fit the plastic piece circled in yellow because of the fixing bracket.

meaning the cusco is offset from the strut towers rather than in line or connecting them. this means it doesn't provide as much lateral stiffness, and is really more for show than actual reinforcement.

yes it does provide some stiffness, but nowhere near as much as a bar that connects the two struts or is in line with them using other stiff chassis points to connect.

I installed the bar using this DIY thanks!

Anyone have a picture and or explanation of what to do lower the brake reservoir? or what the additional pieces look like that should have come with my bar? I have a larger ring that is not in any of the instructions and so I didn't use it. Unfortunately, I do not speak Japanese and so I can't actually read the instructions - thank-god for pictures.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
