Stereo - Audio stopped working!?

Ok, so my wife comes in the other day after having reset the clock for daylight savings and says the stereo doesn't put out any audio. And it's true. Regardless of how high you turn the volume up, there's NO audio coming from the speakers, not even static or a hiss.

All of the functions of the stereo appear to be working otherwise. The AUX/USB works fine, shows tracks, navigates the folder structure. The radio finds stations, shows the ST indicator (for "stereo") etc. Just no audio. Tried adjusting the speaker balance and fader with no results.

It's the strangest thing.

I tried pulling the 30A stereo fuse and it's intact. Is there a separate fuse for an amp?

Thoughts?

Looks like that will have to be the solution. I've checked all the fuses that are remotely related to the radio (that I can identify), reset the whole thing by unplugging the battery for 20 minutes (had to enter the radio code) and checked all the connections on the back of the stereo unit to make sure they're secure (as best I could from the glove box). Everything SEEMS to check out.

Off to the dealership.

wife................reset..... clock.................stereo doesn't put out any audio.

Hmmm.......I see a pattern here

JK My wife doesn't like to touch anything because if something goes wrong she knows the first thing she will hear is "what did you do?"

I dropped it at the dealer today and the conclusion is...

Problem is in the head unit. Replacement has been ordered. Should be about a week.

Just an update - got the new head unit installed today. New radio code card and all. Looks like they managed to get it right - it all works

I'm having a similar problem. I had a sirius radio installed (hard wired) and now, about once a day, the Sirius doesn't power up when I start the car and there is no audio from the radio or CD player, even though its running. If I start the car again, everything will work. Need to take it back to Best Buy who did the install.
