Does your oil smell like gas? (fuel dillution in GE8)
Does the oil in your GE8 smell like gas too?
I've read in several places that this is normal in new engines as the pistons seat.

I'll be sending some oil for lab analysis soon to figure out if there is something wrong with my engine. Blackstone labs say that <2% gas in your oil is OK. Apparently 2% gas in your oil will have a pretty strong smell at the dipstick.

Had this happen with a new Probe some years back; it did go away with time.

Instead of asking people to do it themselves, you could offer to smell people's dipsticks big boy.
