I was telling everyone how rock solid the fit is. How it does not shake or rattle when going over bumps. My civic Si had terrible rattles. It seems the second after I say that. My Glove box starts rattling like crazy. The only option I have found is to leave it open when I am driving so the rattling stops. I am curious to how people have fixed this, or any other problems relating to something similar.

 

Haven't had any problems yet. You probably need to be more specific to get real help.

As a guess I would check alignment and also check the screw for the hinge mechanism for tightness... or latch for tightness and alignment.

If you find something let us know more details and I'm sure someone can help. (I and other here are good sources of out side the box tinkering) and is it the upper or lower glove box?

 

Buzz from RH dash on acceleration. Dealer will have to fix that one, eventually. Otherwise, rattle-free, extremely solid, very quiet at cruise at all speeds.

 

Mine is rattle free, knock on wood, even after my JDM hazard button install.

 

Lower glove box. Rattles like crazy. Also leaving it open at times.

 

No problems so far.

 

Glad to know I am not the only one leaving the glove box open while driving hah

 

clutch pedal squeaks/squeals on the upstroke on lower gears (1st and 2nd).

 

Only one coming from the back when I go over bumps. Not real bad and doesn't happen all of the time.

Is it the clutch pedal or the mechanism of the clutch/transmission?

I ask because there is no way that the actual pedal can know if you're in a low gear or a high one.

 

probably the mechanism. If i just press and release the clutch without it being in gear, its fine. 1st gear is the loudest and most noticeable.

 

I had a similar problem going over bumps and I thought it was the cargo cover lifting up but it wasn't. Then I thought it was something in the spare tire compartment, nope.

finally i found out the last backseat passenger the seat belt clip up high and it was banging the frame. Drop that to the bottom of the seat and no more sounds.

 

Take the cover off the back hatch and wrap the wires I had the same problem

 

Another possibility for this could be the license plate and/or frame rattling. I messed with mine one day, then it started rattling/buzzing. I haven't fixed it yet. the weather has been terrible! It rattles on hard bumps, and buzzes under engine load when I'm not gassing it enough while engaging the clutch. Otherwise, no rattles!

no rattles here either. and i'm even lowered. knock on wood.

 

I've had quite a few minor ones and fixed most of them. I'm really attentive in hearing them unfortunately since my last few Hondas had really annoying rattles.

Most of the rattles were coming from the middle and right dash. The remaining rattle has something to do with a cable behind the right vent hitting the vent's tubing.

 

only the sides rattle cuz i guess my bass/volume is too loud lol other than that i don't have any rattles

 

lower glove box rattles on mine too. not crazy loud and only happens on rough roads but since my Fit is only a month old it does make me a little worried re: long term.

 

I've had the exact same problem with the last two Hondas I've owned (a 99 Civic SI and an 06 AccordV6 6spd).
