manual transmission shifter

I just picked up my Fit today and noticed how cheap the knob feels... Has anybody replaced their knob? Any recommendations? I like the new Mugen one but it's so expensive...

I have a Blox knob. 400 grams. Makes a huge difference. I can go from 3rd to 4th with a literal flick of the wrist.

EDIT: Oops, just checked. It's 440g, not 400g

T1R has a nice one or even ARC. I have the ARC in my S2000 and love it.

FYI

The Skunk2 and Blox shiftknobs are identical. Both weigh 440g, even [though some sites will say 450g].

I don't know, I don't mind the stock shifter at all (for the Sport). I kinda like it! haha

Due respect, but WHY would the WEIGHT of a shift knob matter? Are we avoiding too much mass out on the end of the shifter?

the Type R's first started the whole weighted knob deal, the ITR has a weighted knob and shift linkage, its for better shifting. the weight of the knob kinda just "drops" it into gear making it feel less effortless.

so skunk2 got into it and so on started all the copy cats. (sorry for the whole history lesson) lol, ive seen shift knobs that weighted more than a pound! i even sold one while i worked at nopi! makes a good weapon if put in a sock, not much more useful other than that ! lol! go with 440grams

Keep in mind that a heavier shift knob could also put extra wear on the shift forks and cause early transmission failure....

Weighted shift knobs have been around a little longer than the Civic type R.

Whenever my Fit arrives, if I dont like the shifter feel I'll replace it with my old Integra shift knob, until I decide if I want the blue stitching or the red stitching.

Here's a pic of the red.

Not sure which one, cause the blue stitching kinda matches the lights?
But I like the look of the red one better, and if Mugen releases those red stitch leather seat covers, then they will match.
From this thread https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...at-covers.html

Supposedly the seat covers in the pic are knock offs. Hopefully Mugen releases the official seat covers for the USDM GE8's.
