Low MPG on new Fit - should I be concerned?
Tire pressure
The mythbuster article, although done with a Honda Fit, was interesting, but statistically useless. You cannot base real mileage on one or two tanks of gasoline (as they did)....it does not tell the truth.
I am surprised more people on this thread have not read the ecofit threads.

Over there, they have posted pics of tires after 20 K, after using higher psi. The wear is even, and not unusual at all. Since steel belts were introduced, the concept of bulging is much diminished.
My stat of getting over 40 mph, mostly in town, using 45 psi, is based on 17 gas fillups. On the eco thread, some people are regularly getting 50 mpg and even 60 mpg, but that is mostly highway driving.
