Double Din Units

I'm pretty frustrated when it comes to the new radio on the fit (non-navi) and am planning to upgrade to a double din Pioneer D3. Are there any mounting kits that make it sit flush with the center console and trim?

I'm having the same issue. I've noticed that the parts needed to complete the project have no part number listed on the Honda parts page. I will talk with Honda tomorrow and inquire how someone can purchase the parts.

Good luck with this. I'd love to see how the install turns out.

I'm not really pleased with how far away my controls are.

there is another thread with purchasing info on a double din open plate that you will have to purchase when replacing the factory stereo.

My guess would be that you'll have to wait for an aftermarket company to produce the adapter for the double din dash plate. Same as for the 06+ Civics. I don't see how aftermarket car stereo companies are going to make it with car companies going to funky dashes.

You can buy the radio bezel piece from the Fit Navi. Works for a double din unit, my price as a Honda employee is like $31. I believe this is the part number: 77251-TF0-G0124. Not sure if those are zeros or "OHs." You may need to fab up something for the unit to fit, but why not use an OEM piece as a starter that looks good, you know will last, and so on.

Anyone has a aftermarket stereo installed in a 09 yet? I'm looking at getting something with Sirius and bluetooth since my factory deck doesn't support those add ons (I think)!

can't you just get part # 77255-TF0-000 audio bracket
to help install a aftermarket radio?
or this part just doesn't work?
does anyone know for sure?

Not to revive an old thread, but I would love to know this too.

Probably all of your questions will be answered in this (really long) thread:

DIY (GE): Parts needed for aftermarket double-DIN stereo

You may want to scan through the whole thing, because over time, aspects of this process and the parts involved have changed (such as Metra finally releasing a full kit for the Fit).

Double din is double din... Unless honda made a non standard size unit, NO... you don't need oem mounting kit. Basing on experience any good abs universal mounting kit will do the job. Look into Metra kits.
