Install driver's arm rest on base model?

Is it possible to install the driver's arm rest from the Fit Sport on the base model? Does the base model driver's seat have the necessary hardware to do this?

Thanks!

My *guess* is that the seats are the same for the base and sport models, so it should be possible. Check to see if there is a plastic blanking plate on the driver's seat. The driver's arm rest should come with all the parts necessary to install it. An alternative is to look for those owners who removed the arm rest in order to install the center console.

Answering my own question...

Looking at my 09 Base AT last night, there are no blanking plates or holes in the upholstery on the side of the driver's seat. Feeling around, there doesn't seem to be any mounting points or hardware underneath the upholstery to accommodate an arm rest. So my guess is that the Base seat cannot be modified to accept the arm rest from a Sport.

If you're tall like I am the armrest sucks anyway. My elbo hangs off the edge.
