New Fit - Few questions before I purchase
New Fit - Few questions before I purchase
I should be picking up a new 09 fit sport sometime next week. I was wondering what is the best approach to getting a good deal.
Should I take the asking price (21,xxx + tax I think I was told) and just try to get addons such as tint, 3M, floormats, (anything else?).
Or should I try to get them to drop the price and go elsewhere to get the tinting/3M done and buy mats online or locally?
Im not quite sure the cost of either, I heard 3M for should run around 700.
Just wondering what you have done or recommend. Im in Calgary, Canada so all prices above are canadian.
Thanks!

that really depends on your dealer and how willing they are.
sometimes they have installers inhouse (clearbra) and can do the install
near cost to them, while others have 3rd party come in to do the installs.
labor is bulk of the cost.
i would shop around for the clearbra and tint deals in your area and see if your
dealer would match it AFTER haggling hard on your new car.
if the dealer can give you options at the same prices places like collegehills
can get you, then you got a pretty good deal. but if you cant install them
on your own, then you may have to play along with their little game.

If you're in Calgary go to Okotoks Honda's web site and order that way. I checked out the dealers in town and I can tell you that going into the dealership to try negotiating is a MISTAKE.
I bought a Sport MT from Okotoks and paid $400 LESS than what I would have paid at one of the other local dealers--- and got an additional $500 worth of accessories to boot. PM me for my phone number and I'll provide further details.
