Windshield washer nozzle problems

Hey guys I had a question, I just got my 09 Sports AT fit and I was wondering, when I spray my windshield washer fluid, the nozzle doesn't seem to be spraying the liquid high enough on my windshield. And in return it doesn't wipe it well since there's a lot of dry parts left on my windshield .... I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem. Do I need to adjust the nozzles? Thx guys for ur input.

Mine work fine. How is the spray pattern? It might be a clogged nozzle. Best thing is to bring it to the dealer, they will most likely replace them under warranty.

Both the spray pattern is the same but they just don't shoot high enough on the windshield and I'm afraid the dry part of my windshield will damage my wiper blades. But thx for the quick response.

Yep plenty of fluid, it did it ever since I bought it which was i think 3days ago... Do you think I need to take it to a dealer... Does the washer nozzle have a break-in period also

Either clogged jets (unlikely to be both), sub standard pump performance (replace bad pump - electrical supply) or mis-aligned nozzles (unlikely to be both??). I didn't notice your location, how cold is it where you are?

The Fit nozzle pattern is low and should squirt over the blades at their lowest park. That way the fluid gets distributed over the windshield on the up stroke.
If you want a different height redirect by using a stright pin (sewing type) to re-aim the nozzle. I don't think they arePS use the pin very carefully and don't ream out the hole unnecessarily. You get lots of fluid bit use it up more often. If you have access to fine drills about 0.1 to 0.2 mm will do fine.

I live in chicago so it gets pretty cold here right now.

Do you think the dealership can do that? Because I feel nervous about doing it myself and screwing it up...

Oh crap I was hoping it wasn't that, I mean the car is brand new. So what should I say to the dealer... I mean wats the pump called, sorry I'm a noob at this but I need to know wat I'm going to say to the dealer..

It could be that the washer fluid isn't quite right for Chicago temperatures. I had summer fluid in my car and it stopped working for a time until I switched over to the winter version.

Can't hurt to ask the dealer if it is normal or not. From one response it seems the nozzles may aim a little low. If it is a bad pump it should be replaced under warranty but more like it is just some adjustment or 'owner training' ;-)

You know I think that might be right, I am going to try to use all the washer fluid honda put in my car, which is a blue colored windshield washer fluid and I am going to put in Prestone winter formula fluid. I'll post wat happens.

That's also a good idea, I shall post pics when the prestone washer fluid doesn't work..

just drive into their service booth and ask them to check your
washer fluid tragectory (sp?). tell them it's weak and you suspect
a faulty pump or a clogged nozzle.

if it was frozen (due to incorrect fluid) it will ABSOLUTELY not fire
anything in this 15F weather.
