09 Fit Interior LEDs Installed (w/ pics)

I've had my '09 Fit for about a month and a half now, so I figured it was time to start modding it. There have been several times that I wished the storage bin/cup holder area in front of the gear shift was illuminated so I can find a CD or whatever else I have in the bin at night. I also wanted some lights under the rear seats to match the OEM ambient lighting kit in the front. So I bought a few blue LED strips from Oznium and installed them last weekend. I spliced everything into the same line that feeds the OEM ambient lights, so the on/off button also controls the LED strips.

Here are a couple pictures:

I have my new tires/wheels (16" Enkei FN-18 wheels with Nitto NT NeoGen VR 205/45-16 tires), but am planning on waiting till spring to put them on (although I might put them on this weekend just to see how they look). My Xenith Xenons HID kit should be delivered today or tomorrow. I can't wait to see how it looks once I get everything installed!

I had thought about the cup holder as well, but seems way to bright.

Same here...I would love something with a lower temperature light (white) and with about 50% less light output.

i just installed the ambient light kit and thought about buying another to install on both sides of the rear near the floor (about 3” back) from where the front seat belts retract into the frame. but that’s a little costly to add two more lights. what i did do is drill a hole through the OEM plastic LED covers and silicone a round piece of beveled glass from the hobby store, fits perfectly and its much brighter that stock. never thought about the console.

Looks awesome!

thanks for the post.
