I like the JDM because of those sexy headlamps.

the mugen usdm is going to be sick.
being an integra owner i have to agree with those of you who said the jdm front end makes a world of difference. ive always wanted it but didnt want to spend approx 1200 for the front end plus paint. oh well, i'll save the money to help with my down payment once i finally get my fit

JDM front end doesn't look as good as the USDM one, but it overs more options over body kit selections like Axis, J's, Noblessee, Ings+1, etc of which some of those are definitely even cooler than any stock OE front end.

the USDM front end.. it's just not "jdm hella tight"

For what it's worth.. I think the Japanese front end looks smooshed and the US spec model is proportionate. That is probably just me though.

I disagree with you Sherpa, it doesn't look proportionate to me. From the side for me it looks WAY TOO elongated and out of proportion. Some 3/4 angles make it look borderline hideous (to my eyes). When I moved to Guam and looked at the GE as a possible 2nd car, I was so turned-off by the way it looked from the side. Chris is right with the Owen Wilson analogy, it has a HUGE beak. Whereas the JDM model looks more like a shinkansen (bullet train), too bad it doesn't move like one.

Though as can be seen in this thread, opinions definitely are for and against for both front ends. I would probably live with it if that was my only option, but would probably spend the large amount of cash to swap parts necessary to go with an aftermarket setup. Currently have the J's lip and grill, but really thinking about going with something else...LSF.

+1 on 555sexydrive.

In the right color it looks okay, but the added length of the USDM front end is very very noticeable in profile. Everywhere else in the world, you could scribe a line from the GE's front end and headlamps, climbing up the A-pillars, all the way to the roof and on to the rear hatch window. The USDM front end introduces an angle in the transition from fender to A-pillar - so in a sense it actually ends up looking somewhat similar to a GD nose.

Maybe if the front overhang was just a little shorter...maybe about 2-3" lopped off. I thought the JDM front end was also a little too short at first, and the early Mugen bodykits didn't do it any favors - they lent it a "yellow dumpling" kind of look IMHO.
