I think majority if not all of the suspension even Japanese company are sourced out to China or Taiwan. In fact I think most of after market parts (JDM) are made else where no in Japan, they just design it there and manufactured abroad.

The only Coilover I would consider is Mugen adjustable. They should know how to tune it specifically for the Fit, other companies are tuned more for the general market. There are lots of good suspensions out there but if they weren't tuned for your car and you are not an expert at tuning them then they are worthless.

x2!! These really surprised me as far as quality & performance for your dollar.

Hanzo has it dead on IMO; only Mugen & Spoon are going to be virtually perfect in fitment & strut & spring specs for the GE8... but what less would you expect from Honda's JDM tuning partner (Mugen) & the most popular Honda tuner with more trophies than Hugh Heffner? (Spoon.)

"You get what you pay for" is true for suspension, engine internals & turbos.. the major exceptions for Hondas are Skunk2, PIC Performance, Progress Group, Ground Control, H&R, Neuspeed & a few others...

I'm just not a believer in those Bor Chuan clones; (D2, K-Sport, Apex'i, Megan, Omni, MANY others.) I bought K-Sports for my '91 Civic & they looked GREAT, never got to install them tho but I know many on Honda-Tech who swear buy 'em.. They're sooo temptingly cheap & look dope!

I just have never seen a "My coilover snapped WTF!!!1" thread for the top name tuners' suspensions & feel my first brand new car deserves OEM or better quality parts.

KW = Amazing suspensions. If they make full coilovers for us like they did the GD3 they will likely be one of the best setups... just definitely not the cheapest lol.

I will tell you that A LOT of the parts are made in china/taiwan....even the stuff that says made in japan. Most of the stuff is 95% assembled from the manufacturer, then sent to a shop who finishes the assembly and puts a made in japan sticker on it. I know for a fact that a lot of brands that everyone is hyped on right now are made in china/taiwan. Trust.

For suspension pieces, make sure that they can be rebuilt locally in the states, with a fast turn around time OR quick replacement struts/shocks. Thats the important part.

Oh and more importantly, buy from a shop you trust/feel comfortable with. A shop that will take care of you is more important than a manufacturer that will.
