I'm not sure what tax is where you live, but I just picked up an 09 Sport Auto for $16,900 plus tax, title and license (OTD ended up being $18,179.12--sales tax in TX is 6.35%, $50 doc fee, dealer inventory tax is .22%, and license, registration and inspection a little over $100) and it included floor mats, wheel locks, trunk tray, plus pinstriping the dealer has on all its Hondas for nothing extra.

I bought now with about 4 months left on my current car lease because once new stock has stopped arriving at dealers, it is just that more difficult to get the dealers to "eat" the cost of their extras/accessories. I also paid cash and since Honda rarely, if ever, does cash rebates, the 4 months early was no big thing.

Also, but for the fact that I found another dealer that had a Fit coming in next week (with nothing on it) which I used as leverage to get the mats, wheel locks, trunk tray and striping for free, I probably would have walked away at this point, and took my chances in late June/early July.

And my dealer has plenty of stock on hand right now--my Fit was sitting on the dealer's lot since November and had 10 miles on it, so it hadn't even been test driven. So there's a bunch of them out there.
