How much did you pay for you 2008 or 2009 Honda Fit?

How much did you pay for your 2008 or 2009 Honda FIT. I have beend reading your guys formum for awhile and after all the positive reviews I have decided to buy one. Today is 2/14/09 and tommorrow I am going to the dealership to proably buy one. I was wondering if someone would let me know how much they paid so I can make sure I am getting a reasonable deal. The one I am going to buy is :

2009 Fit Sport with Navigation

Base MSRP*:$18,960

Destination & Handling:$670

MSRP including selected accessories:$19,630

Please post your out the door price so I a know I am getting a reasonable deal. I am not looking to haggle over a few dollars , I just want to know I am getting a fair deal. Can you get the car out the door for Sticker price or can you get it out the door for a little under. I rember when I bought my wife her 05 Corolla and the sticker was 18,350 and I got it out the door for 18,050, . Is there wiggle room like that on the Fit. Also I know it is rude little rude to be posting this, so if you don't want to post your price please email me it at robertdennishansen@yahoo.com . Thanks for all the info. This site is why I am getting a FIT.

P.S. I live near San Francisco, CA so anyone who bought a FIT in California would especially help

I paid MSRP + the 6xx destination charge. I don't think you will be able to talk them down. They have raised the prices a little though, so there is more room to haggle now than there was 6 months ago.

I don't know if you can still get below invoice like some of us back in Dec. 2008
My price: BBP Auto Fit Sport w/NAV $17900 OTD $20273.xx no addons Dublin Honda
Get a quote from the dealers' Homepage and go through the Internet manager

I have to agree... below invoice is not possible it seems. We really shopped around to several dealers in our area and got $150 over invoice price as best. They sold out last year and they probably will again.

Got my '09 auto Sport w/navi for $20,928.55 - out the door, just yesterday.

I bought my 08 sport in July 08
Location-San Diego,CA
Cost-$18300 OTD
Extras-Alarm and 7 year 100k bumper to bumper warranty $2000
Total $20,300
I should have tryed to talk them down even lower know that i think about it. But at the time it was hard to get a fit they were selling like hot cakes.
But here in pensacola i talk to honda about getin a 09 sport and they said $17,600 OTD. I love my 08 i just think i payed a little to much. But i will have it payed off in about 1 and a half. This way i can start saving even more for my weekend warrior car like a evo,s2000 not really sure yet on which but leaning toward the evo do to it being cheaper than the s2000 used.

Not sure why the link doesn't work, probably because of the stupid embed function.

Anyways:

It's on the main page with all the threads ;p Cheers

it is so frickin difficult to help people with OTD prices as sales taxes range from 0-9% depending on where you are in the US.

Take the sticker price with freight, try to get $200-$550 off that. (dealer profit is not much on the Fit it is like $600-660 I forget)
(I had to pay sticker end of last Nov as NOBODY in my area would discount.)

Add sales tax for your area, it is what it is, you gotta pay it, same with liscense plates. You can keep your dealer honest with doc charges and fees by calling other dealers in your area (Dodge, Chevy etc, does not matter)

That keeps it simple and more people can help you
