But yeah, I have a question. I know for the first few tanks you're supposed to get lower than expected mpg but I've been getting like an average of 20 mpg, is this too low or is it normal?

That is a little low. Only thing I can think of is gas stations still running winter gas? do you let your car warm up in the mornings? Do you drive really short stop and go commutes?
I know I have a pretty short commute during the week with a lot of stop and go and still average 27-28 mpg driving moderately heavy on the gas. I currently have 1200 miles on my car now though. I say just give it time. Car probably just needs time to break in.
btw...very nice love the color!

Ah I think you'll be fine..it will go up more you drive it.
Get a couple hundred miles on it and your mileage should go up.
It might just be crappy gas as well. Maybe your next fill up will be better gas.

Seeing as you got your car 2 days ago, the MPG calculation will obviously be low. Wait until your first fill up and I gaurantee you will see at least low 30's. Then, after 60 miles, you will see it go up to like mid 30's.

My car was doing that for the first day or, I just filled up the gas tank and reset the trip meter and the MPG went into the 30's pretty quickly. My MPG meter now says between 35-40 and it is usually off by about 10% or so when I check it with a calculator.

At about 450 miles so far in the break-in period, I'm getting 28 consistently so far with winter gas and ALL city stop-n-go driving. I expect to see it bump up a little for this weekend's road trip and then hugely this spring when the gas mix changes and it warms up a little here in MN.

I usually achieve 34-35 mpg manually calculated in L.A. driving. This past tank I did roughly 50% highway and 50% commuting and while the FE gauge read 41.7 my manually calculated figure came out to 38.6. Which is less than 4 mpg difference. I'm quite happy with that.
Right after fill-up I did a few miles on the freeway at 70 mph and the gauge was reading 50.6!

I got about 12l/100km on my last tank, which is about 20 mpg too.
Here's my list of fuel-economy killers, check off which ones you have:
1) 80:20 city:hwy
2) short work commute, sometimes rush hour
3) 10% ethanol gas
4) winter warm-ups (5 mins or more when below -20c)
5) winter gas
6) still in break-in period
Points 4-6 are seasonal or temporary, 1-3 will always be there.

One more thing . . .
My fuel monitor has been anywhere from 5-20% off. Don't count on it for accuracy, just use it as a tool to improve your driving behaviour. If you want an accurate calculation, you'll need the trip odo, gas receipt after full fill-up, and a calculator.
