Interstate trip - Returned 43 MPG!
I drove my car from West Covina to Desert Hot Springs last night. Filled up at the Shell gas station on Azusa Road and I 10, right near the Honda Dealership.
Drove the 200+ miles round trip with the steady speeds between 60-75 mph, mostly 70 mph. When going down into the Palm Springs valley the meter showed up to 45.8 MPG, then after driving against the crazy wind and going back up hill, the final number got lowered to 43.0 MPG when I got back to Alhambra.
Nothing short of phenominal.
I am pretty sure that on leveled straight line driving at 55 mph could return 50 MPG!!
The car is a true fuel sipper.
(a bit bouncy though
)
I have to add also, that my MPG meter is dead accurate. Never had a discrepancy of more than 1 MPG with manually calculated method. mpg.jpg?t=1270317492
