I couldn't find a high powered (> 1 Watt) LED bulb that had more than 120 deg of illumination. The ones that have little domes on the sides are very weak. I used this type:

Really?

I was thinking something like this which claims to be the most lumens according to their spec sheets - and the priciest. But maybe it spreads around a little too much. The only thing that might make the difference would be the reflective setup.

I think those would work, the WLED-xLX are prob the same as the ones I'm using (off ebay), just with a bigger heatsink. The WHP15 is interesting since it is more omni-directional, and probably works better with a reflector.

Thanks for the heads up committobefit08. I ordered 3 Cool White HP2-3022 and 1 Cool White WHP13. The WHP13 is nice, but the trunk area still lacks the proper lighting. I'll put the stock bulb back and do the mod in this thread https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...t-upgrade.html and use the WHP13 with it.

Overall, I like the color of the lights. It seems brighter, but without a light meter, I couldn't really say how much or if any at all.

Here are some pics:

Here is the WHP13, i didn't take a pic of it installed though.

That looks great man, im gonna be ordering 3 of those bulbs too. And definately do that cargo light upgrade. I had nick do that on my car (the guy who originally made it) and its about 4 times brighter than stock and looks awesome.

But uhh, are you listening to rihanna - live your life?

LOL..yep. I have the year-end hot 100 from 2000-2008 and top 40 for 2009 on a 16GB USB drive. Has a little of everything (country, hiphop, rap, pop, R&B, rock). I'll be adding 1990-1999 soon.

Anyway..I just pulled the stock lens from the rear and that plastic anchor cover to take measurements and plan my project. I'll post in niko3257's thread when i finish.
