The key blank is from the 09 TSX. The cover is from the RDX, it allows you to delete the trunk button from the TSX key as our hatches unlock when you unlock the doors.

I have one of these setups, keyless, immobilizer, everything works like it was factory. The only downer is that the immobilizer has to be programmed at the dealer. I just hate letting those guys put their paws on my car.
How much did the dealer charge to program the immobilizer?

usually it shouldn't be too bad, about an hour's cost. Mine charged me about 40 bucks.

My dealer ended up charged me $50. Only took the tech 20min. Was quoted at an hour @ $90. Not really pro rated correctly IMHO, but got off better than I thought.

honestly..most of the time it does only take 20 minutes max..but SOMETIMES...it does take a car up to an hour if there is something wrong with it
that why they charge an hour

There's nothing wrong with the quality of the 'ebay' remote housing. Mine feels great. Total was less than 50 bucks.

Nah, but I'm a Quality nut. Just ordered my parts from my Acura dealer, will be here wednesday or thursday, then it's off to cut and programmed. Nice Acura Chrome buttons too.

My TSX Key and RDX cover was just around 50 bucks, only crappy part is you have to pay the dealer to program the immobil, no way around it. but you do get 1 total new and an extra key.

Yeah it does. I'd wish I could get my hands on the JDM Accord one (counterpart to US TSX) But besides that, the Fit and finish is Top Notch.

So the dealer can cut the key blank? I always thought these keys were laser cut.

Dealers have the equipment to laser cut keys. The issue is more about how much they charge or if they're willing to cut a blank you got from somewhere else.
