I will greatly appreciate that. Could you start from the very beginning? I cant even figure out how to remove the stock covers. Do I need to remove the mirror? I know.. I'm a newb.
all your questions will be answered when i do it.
sorry but i myself ain't sure either. will find out
when i start doing it though.
like always i will take lots of pics and do alot
of good explaining. i try to make my DIY's
as good as possible.
still waiting for them to come in. though
1. Remove door panels
2. Remove cover of mirror on the inside(the plastic triangle thingy on the inside of the door where the mirror connects)
3. Unhook plus for the mirror
4. With the mirror unhooked, push the mirror in all the way to the top and look under and you should see a tab to hit with a screwdriver to detach the actual mirror.
5. Look at the replacement cover and you will see where the tabs line up so you can use a flat head to push them in and pull the cover away.
6. Screw the turn signals in
7. Run wires and reassemble!
8. You will probably have to remove the mirror housing from the little base it is on that connects to the car body since the wiring runs through there then you can run your mirror wires with it.
9. Run wires through door into car
10. Wire to turn signals(mine are wired to the rear turn signals a solid blue and white in the wires that run under the driver side door sil). I forget which is left and right.
11. Repeat for passenger side!
A skilled installer can do it in 1 and a half hours.
I don't ahve pics but I remember what the installer did.
If you are in socal and don't want to do it yourself pm me and I'll give you the number of my installer. It was $100.
Come on! I don't want to be the only GE with these(I kinda do though.)
You wont be....
I have been slacking a bit ( busy with work ) but I will have some pic's up this weekend for you guys showing you the basics' for the ones that want to do a DIY....
I'm sure Niko3257 will have a very detailed DIY as soon as he gets his in.... and I can add to that for the people that want the folding mirror with the side winker..

. I most probably won't have time to install them until after school ends in mid-May. But on the other hand they're not doing anyone good sitting in a box in my closet lol
