Thumbs down Why is this board soo slow to load ??

I would be on here way more then I currenty am but
cannot because this forum/board takes way to long to
load/reload when going from questions to answers , etc .

It's not my computer as it works well everywhere else .
I only have issues here .

Does anyone else have this problem here ???

sometimes i do.
i think there is just to many people now.
with the new GE8 out there has been hundreds
of people signing up. so it basically is slowing down
the site when all these people are on at once.

I rarely experienced this site to be slow. Try using Google Chrome as ur browser, it is much faster than IE and faster than Firefox to load web pages.

I think it might have something to do with the google-analytics or stats.

Exclamation More RAM?

I'm running a Core2Duo E8500 processor @ 3.16GHz.

I have 4GB RAM and mine flies.

Consider increasing you computer's RAM.

It helps tons!

I use the new Firefox, cable company internet (not 56k), my laptop is old and it has 512mb RAM and I don't have a problem, even Honda web page takes longer to load than this one. Check your internet connection.

Hello ccaddy, sorry to hear you're having problems with page load times on Fitfreak.net - I too use Firefox and use the site quite frequently. I have had zero issues with page load times on the site, and overall I am impressed with the level of performance - especially considering there are over 30,000 threads, with more than 580,000 posts. I'm fairly certain the problems you are having are caused by an issue with your computer, otherwise more than 1 out of 30,000 current members would report the issue.

A few quick things you can try are: Clear your internet search history, cookies, and temporary folders. Run a spyware check like Spybot Search & Destory, and as previously mentioned - try an alternate web browser. Beyond that, you may want to consult with a computer specialist who can further troubleshoot issues with your computer. Good luck to you, I hope you are able to get it resolved soon to help continue to have fun and contribute to to the site!

On that note - please post any future site feedback and suggestions in the appropriate thread:
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/site...k-suggestions/

EDIT: You may also try bookmarking the page you visit directly, to bypass the Home Page (Ex. - https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...ge-08-present/)
The home page is a mess...try going straight to the forums.
