anyone have any tips to removing that piece?

here's a picture i took at the begining.
Shoot me a pm with what you're trying to take off. I have a feeling I know exactly what you're talking about.

Yesterday was the first... took gas out of the FIT. Since you can't siphon it like the "good ol days" we did it the "new way"... popped the hood and did it thru the fuel line. With the line now disconnected and attached to a hose... we just cycled the key to ON/OFF. Turn the key to "ON" for the fuel pump to activate and push fuel for two seconds, you can hear the pump work in the car. So after 2 seconds or pump stopped, turn key OFF and then ON again to cycle the process until you get the desired amount of fuel in your tank.

After that... we loaded the huge Fizz Autosport tent in the Fit and we all headed to World of Wheels/Tuner Galleria

Quick water spray at the loading dock then cleaned him to shine. Then, just on the safe side, I let my friend (Mr. Wagon Lifestyle himself) set the J's Racing wing decals...

and then slapped the K-BREAK WEBƒTƒCƒgyTOPz sun shield on
sun shield front and back...

and let me tell you that THESE HAVE SUCTION CUPS! perfect to keep them in place on the Fit's ginormous windshield
Both are available... stop by and see us today at the Tuner Galleria show - Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL

Very nice. Why exactly do the car shows have a cap on the amt of gas in your tank?

Really that's it? Fire regulations? Interesting. I couldn't think of a single reason, and that one didn't even cross my mind.

Yeah mike is right. It's fire regulations. There was a Lamborghini recently that didn't meet the limit so the owner decided to just run the engine in neutral at redline. Long story short redlining engine + no air flow = fire. Evilone did it the right way.

First poster longtime stalker.

Loaded up the Fit today for a run to the local dump. Had to clean out the garage.
Afterwards I had to add some velcro to the Weathertech drivers side mat. It was sliding too much forward for my tastes. Also I made a small cheap mod to the gas cap because I didn't like how it always fell down and rubbed against the side when I refueled. I got a small hook with the 3M command adhesive and put it on the back of the fuel cover. No more loose gas cap.

The cap should fit in a holder on the top of the door.

I can relate, owned my Accord sw for at least 2 years before I noticed that the gas cap fit on the fuel door. I felt really silly. LOL

I just had to go take a look and sure enough. Fits perfectly (no pun intended)!
Little details like these are never in the manual.
