How Long Do You Plan To Keep Your Fit?
I bought my 2009 Fit new and it currently has 175,000 miles on it. I plan on keeping it until the Tesla Model 3 comes out in 2017 or 2018, when gas cars like the Fit will become virtually obsolete. The Tesla model 3 will cost about 15K more than a new Fit, but it will come with tax incentives, and it will have a 200 mile range and a ten year warranty on the battery. The MPG equivalency will be 100 MPG in terms of the cost of the electricity to charge it. It will be a no-brainer.
We'll be keeping ours until our needs change. We bought the altima because we needed a mid-sized sedan at the time. Thought we would keep that one until it died. Well... we kept it for just over 2 years and realized we needed something smaller, with better economy... Actually realized we didn't need something so big with just one child.

No. I'll be keeping my longer than originally intended. It's going to be my elementary school aged child's first car. Should be a great car to learn to drive manual on. I'm looking at picking up a Gen2 Ridgeline when they are released and won't replace the FIT with it unlike implied above. Might even try to Shimmy in there an S2000 as a summer car.

They are actually still losing money though, right??
I hope they succeed with Musk's evil genius of the home battery and whatever ideas he has yet to reveal..
I plan to keep my fit until 2020 to keep the wife happy

since when is $65,000 only $15k more than a Fit ? my order is in so I have a PO. as for electric cars; I have a Leaf and its the best monday to friday car I've ever owned, its cut my gas bill from $300 a month to $50, gas used only for my weekend hybrid. The Leaf has every comfort item of my neighbors cadillac and its not slow either. Oh, and its cost is mid twenties with tax incentices, maybe 10 grand over a Fit. certainly worth every penny.
even with 200 mile or 250 mile range Tesla doesn't fit my weekend service but I like the idea of Tesla beating a Hellcat to 80 mph (MT test). the plugin Sonata hybrid might be the answer. tried the ford plug in and wasn't that impressed. next winter looks like a good time to buy.
cheers
Just over 20k on a 2013 and would love to keep it till it dies (reminds me of a fun version of my 1st car) but I kinda got an eye for a crz. Maybe I'll keep it till my nephew learns to drive. I would have to get a louder exhaust to annoy my sister though. Or ill rip out the engine after death and make it electric.

Still going strong after 3 years and 85k miles. Sometimes I wish the car mysteriously stopped working so I can start driving a GTI (not buying a new car until the Fit becomes unreliable and/or my fiancee starts calling me cheap again).
Then I realize how much money I'm saving as a Fit owner and hopes it gives me four more judgment-free years!
