JDM Non LED Tails...HELP
JDM Non LED Tails...HELP
I just got my set of JDM tails today and I had trouble and was hoping someone could help me out.
I noticed that the USDM reverse lights had a smaller socket and a different plug. How am I suppose to mod it to make it work for the JDM tails?

*Update* 4. IF you get a JDM lamp without bulb sockets, you will have to get pn 33515-S50-003 online or from your local dealer to use for the backup function. It is used on both Hondas and Acuras so if one dealer is out of stock try the other. I got mine locally for about $4.50 each ($2+ online but then you have to pay shipping too).
I think this is the Part No: 33515-S50-003 Best to check first.

hmmm. I am a little confused. Mine all fit perfect.
This might be a dumb question but you are putting the right plug behind the right socket. The locations are a little different on the JDM light.
You are talking about the socket all the way to the right in this picture? (this is the backup light socket)
here... maybe this clarifies what I'm trying to say...

im pretty sure im doing it right. what happen was when i got these lights i had to take out the brake light and the turn signal bulb and socket from my usdm lights and transfer it over to the jdm tails. the only sockets i didnt have were the reverse lights so i was advised to buy the parts from the local honda dealership...which i did.... and the green plug doesnt fit for the reverse function didnt fit.
haha..dont worry about it
its not an adapter...it just that the usdm and jdm have different sized sockets.

hmm... ok I get you. I do not know. Like JDM_DOHC_SiR said take some pics. Only other thing I can think of is its the wrong part. (but doubt this...if your part is 33515-S50-003)

Let us know if you ever figure out why it wasn't working.
hey guys.....thanks for all your help and support. i finally got my jdm tails installed. the person i got it from (teamfit) was nice enough to rush me the reverse sockets from the philippines in 3 days.
i was hesitate to extend the wires because i didnt want to snap any of them. is it safe to extend the wires so much? i had to use a little force to pull out some extra wire. i hope i didnt damage any of the wires.

Hurray!!!
you should be fine on the wires. Mine were a tight fit too due to the length of the wires. I removed some of the stock electrical tape holding the 3 wires together which gave me enough slack to plug the socket into each plug.
so that green plug never fit?
