factory valet key - picture?
Can anyone share a picture of their factory valet key that can unlock and drive an '09 Fit Sport?
I asked for one, got it (gratis! probably because they missed an accessory and I had to make a second trip) and it's another regular key with the buttons.
I'd like a second smaller key and thought there was a Honda valet key that had the chip in it, just lacking the bulk of the buttons.

I got a third key with my first Fit (all metal, no chip, no buttons, etc) that just opens the door. I don't think there is a true "valet" key. It would be pointless since the Fit has no lockable storage areas. My newest Fit just came with the two regular keys.

My sales rep told me there was no valet key. It's true that there's no lockable storage, but in my Civic I mostly just liked knowing that I had my key and my remote in case the valet misplaced it or for some other reason. I rarely locked the trunk...never had much of anything in it.
It would also be nice to have a key that would be *slightly* less expensive to replace if it was lost or damaged.
Ahh well.

I got a "valet" key for my remote start. The key with the fob on it wouldn't fit in the module. Looked just like the key from my 99 Accord. Metal with a black top. It started the car up and unlocked the doors. It just had no buttons. I wouldn't really call it a valet key though. Just a spare.

I asked my dealer for a key that I could use when I go fishing. I dont remember the exact cost but I think he only charged me $12.00, which I think is the cost for the key only. He didnt charge me for programming. It unlocks and starts the car and I dont worry about it getting wet in my pocket.

you can get the key above or the grey top key pretty cheap at the dealership, but most dealerships will charge you out the butt for programming the chip inside. but just having the metal cut, it will lock/unlock the doors, just not start the car. i just lock my real key IN the car, and use this one to lock the doors when i go to the beach. that way i can keep it with me in the ocean. it's about $6 for the grey blank.
