I got my first ding already at less than 3 months old... I guess someone opened their door into mine and a small corner of their door hit my rear driver side door... left a fingertip sized dent with paint missing in the center of it... it happened while I was at work... i guess it was a customer to the business downstairs... the ironic part: my office is upstairs from an insurance office

now to find out how to get it fixed... too small to try worry about claiming on my insurance i think

 

Oh man...my condolences. I flipped my sh*t when I scratched the bottom of my bumper. Hope it doesn't cost you much to fix.

Sometimes, if you're lucky, the dealer will fix your first ding. My dealer here (Ohio) gave me a coupon with my fit for one free ding repair (first 30K miles).

Maybe your dealer has something like that?

No dings after owning my fit for seven months because I park faraway and I only park where I know I have enough room just in case stupid people swing their doors w/o care. I'll even wait for a good spot to be available or I won't park at all, thats how anal I am with protecting my whip.

My bumper lip is scraped up though since I'm lowered. Its really unavoidable no matter how careful you are (yes I angle like crazy), but it doesn't really bother me because you wont be able to see it unless you look under and I could always install a JDP lip.

 

I wish I had the option of parking away from cars, but my office parking lot only has maybe 16 spots... 5 for us, 3 for employees downstairs... only leaves 8 for downstairs customers...

Here's the little dent... it's really small, but very noticeable on this color and because the car looks so good otherwise...

 

damn. i would just take the bus. 16 spaces? man

 

In my garage that would get fixed in 5-10min. hahahahaha

I'm just a hobbiest but have training in PDR. Take it to your dealer and have their pdr tech push it out. If that's a chip touch it up after he's done.

I park my FitS's at the very best spots all over town closest to the entrance.

 

Corner parker here myself... it's absurd, but I just hate door dings!
