anyone with this feeling?

this happened twice today...but im pretty sure its nothing.

i am at a red light. i put it in first gear and i get going. I shift at 3k, then when i went to the second gear, it felt as if the shifter was READY to "pop" out of first as soon as possible. like...it feels that it just pops out of first as if it wasn't totally in first yet. it shifted fine and no slip or anything...i just felt weird. hard to explain.

anyone had this happen? is it normal? and yes, i depress the clutch all the way in before i changed gears

That happens if you gently pull the shifter as you press the clutch. It won't do it if you press the clutch fully before shifting.

Its happened to me before. Don't think its a problem just a matter of technique.

happens to me. Anyone know if it's a problem? I usually circumvent the issue by taking the 1-2 shift slowly.

it happens when your timings off... press the clutch in too late and start shifting too early... its the shifter popping out of the gate

u can actually shift up without using the clutch... wouldnt recommend it tho... the popping out isnt the problem... its putting it into gear without a clutch can potentially grind up your gears

it grinds the Synchro's not the gears one of the many reasons why cars don't use straight cut gears anymore. synchro's are cheaper to replace than a gear
