three little rectangles?
three little rectangles?
Probably a faq or stoopid newb question but what the heck are those three little rectangles right below the drivers side dash 'cupholder' supposed to be for? I assume they're punch-outs for equipment and/or accessories possible on other models, but I haven't figured out what yet. I tried looking at photos online.. and I can't quite make out what they are. However, even in the fit sport navi model photos I'm looking at.. only one of them seems to be labeled with something.. and in the fit sport photos none of them look labeled.
And for that matter, what if anything have you folks done with them, if you have installed something other than the intended equipment?
thanks

there basicly places where you can put your switches for accesories such as lighting, cruise, other controls. blah blah. in some cars, thats where the cruise control on/off switch is, as well as VSA. on my fit i put my "v-tec light" on/off switch there
not sure how that works, but if you need a way to get a wire from the fuse box to the roof or something, theres a little hole on the left underneath the fuse box "door", you can put your wire through that and run it up the door "seal", its a black thing that is flexible, i put my wire behind that for my radar detector, then run it up, when you get to the top you can either cross the pillar and under teh headliner, not sure how you would go the other way.
In mine, the one on the left is for the oil slick and smokescreen, the middle one deploys the front machine guns, and the right switch arms the rocket launcher.

The photon torpedoes and warp drive came pre-installed. I thought all Fits were equipped with them. I guess that's what happens when you buy your car from some guy named "Scotty"!
I installed a switch in one of those that leads to a relay. I have my LED lights (Orange Vents, Blue Door Handles, Blue Dome Lights, Blue Puddle Lights, Orange Door Cupholders, Blue Footwells, Blue pillar spot lights pointing at interior roof, Blue Rear Storage Compartment, Blue Cargo Overhead, Blue Cargo Corners, Orange Center Console Cupholder, Orange shifter light (chrome fittings with the lights in them on the plastic panel above the shifter) Blue Upper Grille, Orange Lower Grille and A/C Condensor, Blue Underbody, Orange Wheel Wells.) wired up to my dome lights so they come on with the security system, when the doors are open, and when the engine is not running (Yes, How ricer of me but I like them and I even consulted a color wheel before I started installing them one night at a time) However when I flick the switch it engages the relay and the lights will stay on regardless of the dome light circuit. That way I can drive 'dirty' when I'm feeling braver than I should or leave them on when the doors are closed for an extended period of time.

That's what the left one is used for in the EU models. The middle one is for VSA. In my "Exclusive" the right one has a switch for an after-market car heater - I don't think it has a standard function in any model here.
I just have three blank spaces. I'm looking for an Australian source for the coin holder that can go in one of the holes, but I've only seen them for the older GDs.
