Element visors fit on Fit?
Element visors fit on Fit?
Hi Guys,
anyone know if the visors from an early Element will fit on the Fit? Those visors are really effective and the Fit's are, well, less than functional for a shorty. thanks!

Nope. Fit has a sloping front windshield so the side windows are sloping as well. The element's is flat at an angle so the doors are flat as wel. Plus the back windows are much smaller then the fit's.
she is! i really just wondered if it would be a relatively simple process to remove the current sun visors and pop in a set made for the element (i.e. would they fit the hardware). i know they won't fit the custom well for the fit's sun visors but i would gladly trade visors that don't look that cool or sit perfectly for an unblind drive in the sun

i'm on a mission too

gotta find me some real visors. i'm missing my double visor setup i had in the navigator. saw some cheap tinted plastic extensions today at the dealer, but they're horrible. looked up the laws here in AZ and front windshield tinting is legal to the a1 line....which is really high. I'll just pay cash at a tint shop for a strip that's equal to the bottom of the rearview mirror bracket. That should kill most the glare. I'll take some pics when I get it.
This would be an interesting and quite useful mod. There is just way too much glass for such little visors. More width and legth would be nice...
@dankstang - Deep tint helps, but does not block enough for direct sunset/sunrise hour driving...

that strip looks great, it would certainly help. I am on a mission to find a cheap set of bigger visors and see what I can do with them. Thanks for posting that pic. If I am successful I'll post up a photo.
scea1968, I'm with you. I love where I live, except that it is southwest from my workplace. So I get sun right above the rear-view mirror, morning and evening. My husband has an '07 Element, and I was thinking about checking to see if its sun visors might fit my Fit.
Yes, I like the longer strip on the front, it's worth it if it's legal in your state. (even then if your caught it's just cutting it back) Not to mention it adds a nicer look to your ride. It didn't cost extra with my tint, he simply said "where do you want me to cut it...?"
Visibility is not impaired, traffic lights or night driving have no impact unless you’re looking up for aliens or bird strikes...

It's not the perfect solution for the center section above the mirror. I'd seen a posting awhile back where someone found a clip on type acrylic visor that seemed to add additional glare cover.

I commute 2 hours a day, larger visors for me would be for sunrise/sunset, where those times when the sun is directly in your eyes (and when you swing the around to the side windows too). The factory ones for me are just a bit smallish.
