Question 2012 Fit Sun Visors??

My wife has only one complaint about her new fit and it's the sun visors. She is only 5'2" so being short the factory visors don't give her much relief from the sun. I've noticed that they are for the most part worthless at blocking the sun from the side windows (really next time your in your car swing one over and it looks like it only blocks an extra 1" from what the pillar blocks).

I'm just wondering if any of you have had the same issues and if you have found any fixes for it, or if there are any after market ones that help out?

So its just the sides that are bothering her? if so Tint. I don't mean to sound like an ass or anything, but that should do it also. My wife a little taller and she wears sunglasses in her car all the time, but when she can't fine or forget them she is S.O.L.

Welp i'm 6'0" and the visors still don't do anything for me, so you can tell your wife it's not her fault and she's not alone lol

In for solutions. Tint is not one for me (illegal in CA).

I desperately need a sunvisor extension, but not one that goes down - one that makes it longer! Put sideways, there's nearly a head's worth of not-covered space between the end of the visor and the B-pillar, inconveniently located approximately where my eyes. It's a lazy-ass design. Land of the rising sun? They must have tested it at noon!

Yeah, i have the same problem. Don't know what else can help besides the already suggested solutions. Maybe sunglasses? I keep a pair in the glove box and use them when it gets too bad.

I was wondering about this if there was another model that would fit but I think it would be limited based on the clip. My wife's car has extensions on the visors that pull out.

Sunglasses aren't sufficient. What is really needed is an opaque panel.

Given that no one has had any solutions I think I will try making something.

there are a few on Amazon, but don't know if they work well- they look kind of tacky. You may as well get a piece of card board and rubberband it to the visor

Glad my wife and I aren't the only ones with this issue.. Kinda.. I just can't believe that they didn't have a better visor for the car. I drive a 2012 GMC pick up and it's a low option work truck and the visor slides to extend it longer and not to mention it's not short either. I just thought by not some after market company would have came up with something but I'm with fujisawa on making something..

I know sunglasses but really?? $20k+/- car shouldn't really require all the owners to have sunglasses with them at all times because of something they overlooked. Window tint is on the list and I know it will help a lot but that still wont help out much with head on sun.

Sun Visor Extensions

I finally remembered to search for these - usually only think about it when I'm facing the drive into the direct sun - and found this simple, inexpensive offering that I'm going to try. The reviews are mostly good, and it sounds viable.

those strap-with-a-panel looks ideal. i'm not going to pay that much though; it looks a bit "seen on TV" for my taste so i might as well make it myself :P
