Does the 09 come with plastic cover

Under the Engine?
I have the plastic on both sides but not the middle. Looks like a piece should be there.

Im going to the dealer tomorrow so Id like to tell them to replace it if its supposed to be there.

yah, it's more forward of the engine not directly under it. you should be able to see your garage floor if you look down at your engine in some angles.

Ok thats what it looks like...
Too me it looked like there was a piece that goes in the middle the way it was cutout.

Thanks alot.

When I picked this car up the plastic over the speedo was all scratched up so they finally got a new one in...

I agree it does look like it was designed for another piece to be installed right under the engine. There are even holes for the #12 fasteners. Maybe Honda left it out for some cost savings.

But then you'd have to remove said panel to change your oil. If I did that, I'd probably end up leaving it off after that.

That would be silly..even the mazda 3 comes with those pieces now they are there for a reason like aerodynamics and believe it or not that thin plastic can save your oil pan from rocks.

I had this piece on my audi for a few years and I got tired of removing it to do regular maintenance so I left it off.
My audi was lowered and I was living in MA within 2 weeks I had some scratches on the pan and after a year I decided to put it back on after a pothole almost took it out.
That plastic absorbs the impact and returns to its shape (most of the time)
Aluminum absorbs the impact....
Oh not to mention all the steel bits and subframe lost undercoating in that area and got surface rust from just light bumps and scratches.

Which is why I though most cars come with them now to be honest Ill probly try to make one eventually.
