OP...you bought an entry level honda, the true definition of a daily driver / beater / etc. It's not as if you spent 60k on something semi-exotic. While you may really like it, and its a lot of fun....at the end of a day, its an entry level honda. its meant to be beat on.

A couple of clarifications:
I've been at the job for the last 3 months, so I'm new to it. Bought the Fits last October with the intent of using them to commute back and forth to work. Didn't realize I'd wind up at a job where I'm also a road warrior. I like the job. Because of the out and about aspect of it, so I'm going to stay for a while.

The Fit is the first new car I ever bought for myself. I know it's Honda's entry level, but when we went shopping for my wife's (then girlfriend) 86 Civic Si, it was under 10K out the door. Her 99 Civic EX was loaded, 18K out the door. I could have bought a new Civic for nearly the same money as the Fit. But the Fit was more fun. Entry level costs what "nicer" cars used to back in the day. My head is still back in the day... and I don't want to beat on anything.

I'll stick with it for now. Thank all.
