Front Headrests will not lock!!

Has anyone found a way to lock these friggin front headrests ? Everytime I get in the thing bumps up another notch. apparently it will lock from going down without a press of the release button but will go up all the way with ever touching the release button ! This is a GE8 and I never had this issue with my GD3. Anyone else have this problem or figure a solution ? This is driving me crazy and I really don't want to remove them.

That's how they are supposed to work. Just stop pulling up on it when you get into the car. I don't see how else it could raise on its own unless your car is hanging upside down. It's not, is it?

If I adjust my position in the seat a certain way, my shoulder hits it and pushes it up. It's not that crazy.

If your shoulder hit the headrest, then it needs to be up higher anyway. Crazy.

Mine always end up way up in the air too. I thought my son (2yr old) was doing it but I wonder if they could be raising up when I go over a bump? I'll watch it tommorow. I drive down one street that has those 25 mph speed control bumps.

everytime, or almost everytime I get in and get comfortable, my head or shoulders scoots it up a tad. With the same seating position as in my GD3, why would this one do this and not my other one ? There must be some difference. I get in the car the same as the old FIT and never had this problem. And No, I'm not grabbing it or hanging upside down although that sounds like something worth trying , lol.

Uhh no. When I'm sitting normally my shoulder doesn't hit it. As I said, if I adjust my position a certain way. I elevate my shoulder, it pushes the headrest up.

I noticed this a lot also. When my gf gets in the car and moves the seat it seems to auto adjust for her. She sits more upright. I push it back down and then it is fine. I have no idea what is causing it but I would love to know. Maybe thats what they mean by active headrests . Anyway I never touch them and they seem to move all of the time.
