Check fuel cap?
Well today I got in my car after work, and my cluster started blinking the words 'check fuel cap'. So im here thinking some kids may have popped it open or whatever so I check it out, and nothings wrong with it. I open it and close it several times as well as the cap itself, making sure it clicks. It keeps saying it though, turned the car off and on but nothing I do will get rid of it. If I click the knob it will go away until the next time I turn on the car. Going to try and reset the ECU tomorrow. Has anyone experienced this? I will avoid at all costs going to the dealership.

Give it a few days and it will reset by itself. I had this happen a couple of times on my 06 Odyssey. The first time it took a few days to reset and the second time was probably less than a day. Sometimes the change in temperature can make this message appear.

Check other threads before starting new ones. Here's one that's on the first page and was started only 2 days ago: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...ay-my-fit.html

Interesting, because I thought a gas cap/tank pressure issue would cause the engine light to illuminate rather than having its own dedicated gas-cap warning message. At least that's what I'd been told. Maybe that's yet another difference between Fits sold in the states vs. here in Canada(?)
What happened with mine was that my engine light was coming on intermittently. It would go out (seemingly) shortly after filling my tank, which led me to believe there was a problem with tank pressure or the filler cap seal.
So imagine my surprise when I took it in to Honda, where it was discovered that the coolant temperature sensor (located in the bottom of the radiator) was on the fritz. It's intermittently losing continuity and setting off the engine warning light. A new one is now on order (along with a new 12V power outlet, which went out about 10,000 kms ago) and is all taken care of under warranty. Good thing too, because the 60,000 km bumper-to-bumper portion of the warranty expires in just a bit over 5000 more kms...
