did anyone ever get an updated disc? I would be willing to pay a small fee to get a copy of one. Let me know.

I got my hands temporarily on an original, however upon attempt to copy it, I couldn't get the copy to work :-( Wonder if that's why no one's seeding it on torrents or uploading it anywhere.

when I was driving my accord I seem to remember there being an aftermarket type dvd that allowed users to do things like play videos on their navi and such, as well as have the updated maps. any word on a disk like that that is compatible with our navi systems?

Were you able to successfully make the copy? (Did you have to use something against protection like AnyDVD? (SlySoft AnyDVD | any dvd, region free, dvd copy, copy dvd movies, dvd decoder, dvd ripper, macrovision, dvd copying software))

No, I had no issues copying it. I did however notice that there was a discrepancy between the one off of the '10 car I had borrowed vs. my '06 model's GPS; the DPL and APL ver. I have an '08 ver where the 2 numbers do match, and it works just fine in the GPS.

So it seems that if you order it online, they would ship you the version that matches your car's GPS, where-as they've changed it for the new cars. Haven't found a way around it.
