Has anyone considered buying one of these for their GE8?

Seems like there are some issues where they do not work/fit on all cars. Can you guys let me know how you solved the problem of having only 1 socket?

I did this exact thing in my car. Bought it from radioshack and it fits perfect. Has a tilt-able(?) head which gets it up out of the way. The issue is that if the probe or plug sticks out too far it will get in the way of the cup holder. Mine is flush against the console and is out of the way for the most part. I do not use it all of the time but the plug I have in right now which is a standard size still disrupts the cup holder. I would look for something compact and maybe angled if they make such a thing. Hope this helps!

 

Another satisfied Radio Shack Universal Twin Socket Adapter purchasee here. Cheap and it folds up and down, so if you turn it to the side when you plug it in it folds side to side. It sticks out but folds back so it's parallel with the trim and allows you to utilize both your cup holders.
