Which Gorilla wheel lock set will fit my 09 Fit Sport?

All-

I was the unlucky one who had all of my 09 Fit Sport stock rims stolen over the weekend. Given that situation, and the giant hassle it was to finally get this taken care of, I'm in the market for a set of after-market wheel locks.

I have heard Gorilla makes a good set from hunting online, but which set would fit a 09 Fit Sport?

The Gorilla Application Guide is located here:

Looking at the lug nuts that came off the Fit it looks as though the 12.5mm x 1.50 'Bulge Acorn' is the correct style. Is that correct? Has anyone else on this board installed Gorilla wheel locks on their 09 Fit Sport?

Thanks,
shadow-box

Maybe this will help?

Hope so!

BTW, sorry about your loss. I mean, who steals stock rims? Then again, the Fit sports' rims aren't exactly anywhere near crap. Personally, I think they're decent-looking wheels, especially for stock. Guess I just answered my own question.

That's alright... what goes around, comes around!

On a related note, it's rather well known (and it's been brought up before on several occassions on these boards) that wheel locks will not prevent thiefs from stealing your wheels, but only delay them. There's a chance that having them might actually deter them and make them go to the next vehicle, but you should by no means be naive enough to believe that this will prevent your wheels from being stolen. Just food for thought....

Slowing down a thief is GOOD!

Man, I am not in favor of acorn (taper) for stock honda wheels. They torque awful, just not a safe thing to do!

Acorn= tapered seat

bulge= shape of the nut portion.

Not the right thing, you need ball (or radius)

Myself, in this case I would get them from Honda discounted at Bernardi, Majestic or College Hills.

After much searching I found these $1.12 ea to mount my stock wheels +snow tires http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CIXM4G/ref=ox_ya_oh_product
at amazon made by Doorman, they may also have a locking type.

Only issues with OE lug locks are that someone makes a master set - which itself can be bought or stolen. Other locks may slow them down - but I had a set of slipstreams stolen off one of my Civics with locking lugs on every lug. If a thief wants them - they WILL take them.

Like someone said here before, with good quality wheel locks, only the high end thieves will be successful. It should keep away the opportunistic thieves and passing by low-lifes...

I need to get a set for my car but seems like should be less expensive ones than Honda factory ones.
