Locked?
Frozen?
Opening with a latch?
Tried the key/handle?

Water could have frozen it shut. I've had that happen to my doors before.

Owner's manual, page 89. This assumes that the hatch isn't frozen in place, which is very possible with recent weather.

Its not frozen. The door was working fine all day when I pull the handle it does nothingg but luckily I had a dent in the hatch and I had the rear door card off so it was exposed so I can open it up the hard way.

What is the "hard way"?

What does "I had the rear door card off" mean?

How is having a dent lucky?

I think the OP means he had the inside trim panel off to repair a dent, so he could reach the hatch release from inside the car.
