My 2010 Base Fit has a nice sounding CD player, and the stereo radio is also excellent, but only whenever I get a good signal in! (And far too often I don't, ending up with muddied, over-lapping signals..!)

Since that rear roof antenna unscrews so easily, has anyone here replaced it with a stronger (perhaps taller?) one? Is it a universal type of mount perhaps? Or does Honda (or someone else) make a better antenna that would screw right in?

 

I replaced mine with an antenna from a Toyata Matrix. Bought a cheap replacement "shorty" antenna, took a used Matrix for a test drive, and swapped them. The same antenna is used on other Japanese and Volkswagen hatchback cars (my wife's Mazda 3 uses the same antenna). The threads are universal. I tried a replacement "full length" antenna (from a parts store). It worked good but it was to tall for my garage.

 

VW Passat/Jetta or old school Audi A6 antennae work great.
