Seems like Canada also has the MPG software update 2009

Hi Guys,

I'm getting my first oil change this week and i inquired if the update the US gets has found its way to the Canadian market.

My dealer knew about the update and is going to apply it, along with the oil change.

Just a FYI

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if this had made it's way to Canada.

Cool. I've dealt with them in the past. I got a good deal on a Civic there for my father.

I got my Fit from Ste-Rose.

Unfamiliar with this update, what exactly does it do? just adjust the MPG meter? I went for an oil change about a month ago, they didnt mention any updates...

I'm pretty sure that it corrects some code in the l/100 km calculation that is faulty. Basically the computer is overly generous with it's calc. If you don't really care about the actual number, you don't have to bother with the update as it can still be used as a relative comparison as it seems to be consistently incorrect by the same margin.

Tip if you want to do the update, just mention it to them and mention you've been taking manual logs
