ya, i'm with you guys on the jdm badges... soon enough. best price i've found is $96+ship, anyone know anywhere less expensive?

and i'll get the hood open shot today. i masked off the tabs, so it's just that red line that you see, plus it has the radiator cover (not sure what else to call it) there too.

it would a whole lot better if you can color match the paint of the grill to the JDM badges

Not to steal your idea, but how hard can it be to paint the whole grill body-colored, like in my case Milano Red? I think that would look awesome on mine....

the difficulty would be in getting the paint to stick. the most important part of any paint job is the prep work. if you really wanted to do your grille body colored, you would have to wash the whole thing down with soap and water, and scrub it with one of those green scuff pads (in the kitchen sponge section), then you wanted to use duplicolor adhesion promoter. it's a clear primer basically. then you'd wanna spray at least a light coat of real primer, then wetsand, then your body color, then i would wet sand it to get out all the imperfections, then clear coat a couple times.

do-able, but a lot of work with all those holes if you want it to be done "right".

It looks good. Red5...I tried painting the whole grill on another car of mine, and it just didn't work. Couldn't get the paint to stick, and where it did, any stones would mess it up.
Anyway, I like what you did, and will do it on mine soon.
