Mine is $408/ 6 months

It's pretty bare bones, but is $500 deductible on a 09 Fit Sport A/T from Geico.

You may be surprised and not have an increase.... I did $2000 in damage to my car not long after I got it and my rates didn't change.... That was my first claim in 36 years and I think that may have had something to do with it. Deer cause a lot of grief in this area also but wild hogs are getting to be a lot worse...... Coyotes on occasion but they mostly just keep you awake at night.

Comprehensive claims generally don't increase your rates. Just don't have too many or you will get non-renewed.

Since I've owned the Fit, I had my first accident claim EVER, and hit a deer for the first time in 15 years, so God knows what I'm going to end up paying when I renew next month.
I had two accidents that were considered "act of god" accidents. the 1st one was the car slid on snow (rounding a corner to the left, unplowed street, sloped to the right - no chance for this one) and the other was a Deer. Neither time did my insurance rates go up (and I had NJ insurance at the time)

Deer hits count against comprehensive in NY and shouldn't affect my rates. The other accident involved grounding the car on a rock imbedded in a dirt road, and "might" raise my rates, according to my agent.

The Deer hit you... not the other way around actually, the autobody shop told me to tell the insurance company that the deer hit me. He said that if you say you hit the deer, then it is your fault and could have been avoided, if the deer hits you, it's on the deer's insurance.

I smacked the curb with my integra on that snowy road. bent both passenger wheels under the car and had to have the wheels and suspension replaced. That car was cursed. I paid $3.5K in insurance on that car and they paid out over $7k in repairs on that car.

In the early 90s I was paying as much for full coverage on a Harley-Davidson FXWG as it is now costing to insure a new Forester and my Fit with full coverage and carry the minimum required on a GMC pickup.....For some reason My ex was always saying it had to do with my driving record due to speeding tickets that I'd gotten years before..... It turned out that she had gotten a motorcycle learners permit and it was her numerous fender benders and causing a Volvo to end upon it's roof in a shallow creek when she did a lane change with out signaling.... One thing nice about that divorce was the 66% drop auto insurance rates.

This varies by state. In NY, as I undertand it, car/deer collisions are considered "acts of God", and are covered under comprehensive insurance, no matter who hit who. You just have to be sure there is deer fur caught in the bodywork for the adjuster to see.

we pay 334/6mo for our $16k 09 fit sport MT and 261/6mo for our $26k '10 Jetta Sportwagen TDI 6MT. Doesnt really make much sense but oh well.

For reference, we were paying 550ish/6mo for a 03 BMW M3 6MT

Thats 250 deductables on all, multicar/multipolicy and clean records, we're both 31, married, homeowners and we both commute about 90miles per day. We've been with progressive for about 10years and our rates keep going down. We also have excellent credit and pay in full every 6mo.

I am in MI, no fault state, that means everyone is at fault,
$440 /6 months, for $100 deductible full coverage,
the irony is that the rate is same as my $50k chevy duramax diesel truck with the same coverage, so I would agree, the dang fit is EXPENSIVE to insure.
how much are those mini-coopers to insure ;-)

I was disappointed to find out that my monthly insurance rate has gone from $71 with my Ford Focus to $100 with my Fit Sport. The State Farm woman said that it has mostly to do with the Fit's parts being more expensive and more difficult to find in the event of a repair? I don't know. I don't want to change my coverages, especially after my recent accident, so I guess I'll just deal with it.

$878/year for a '09 sport but I get the max discount and I have all the bells and whistles plus replacement insurance. If any repair is over $4k I just get a new Fit.

around $1800/yr. w/ one beacon. Fact that im 23 has a lot to do with it. I also had a license suspension about 4 yrs ago that wont go away, even though it didnt involve a car, or me being anywhere near a car.
