Saphire blue pearl versus blue sensation pearl...
Different paint codes. I would presume with the Blue Sensation Pearl you are also speaking of the JDM color Deep Sapphire Blue Pearl, this has a paint code of B548P and the Sapphire Blue Pearl offered in the US and maybe other markets has a paint code of B517P.
I dont understand the difference.. the US Fit is made in Japan.... mine is a 5dr sport 5MT and has paint code of B548P in the door. I see the Honda website in the US uses the Blue Sensation naming, while the Honda parts online always list Saphire Blue (for prepainted parts of course)
No they are not the same, notice you ordered Deep Sapphire Blue Pearl and not Sapphire Blue Pearl as the OP was asking about. I listed the 2 paint codes, they are different colors. Why the color is called Blue Sensation in the North American market, is something that happens with some colors when they make their way over, get renamed even though the same paint code.
Yes the Blue Sensation Pearl is the color name in the US and Canada (maybe?) and in Japan and possibly other markets it is called Deep Sapphire Blue Pearl.
Sapphire Blue Pearl B517P...

And of course you already know what Deep Sapphire and Blue Sensation looks like and if you forgot, go run outside and take a gander.
The Mugen parts are going to have the Japanese paint name on them and that should make sense, the biggest thing when matching, just look for the paint code.

That's what I told CarStar, but the bumper doesn't match... I mean, they blended it in so you can't really tell, but if I hold the original bumper against it, you can totally tell the difference if the sunlight hits directly. The original has DEPTH to it, plenty sparkle. The new paint is dull in comparison.
CarStar really sucks.
CarStar really sucks.
Maybe it is just that, they are poor at matching or used too little or too much when mixing to get the color. Maybe they didn't put enough pearl into it?
If you like the Mugen rear and have the funds, go for it. It without doubt will match perfectly and also mate up like OEM. That's really the benefit of purchasing Mugen pieces, they could pass off as OEM.

Well even the OEM bumper won't match now, because the side panels are blended in.... I'm going to live with it. But next time I will ask the paint tech to provide proof of matching BEFORE painting. As simple as painting a sample card, holding up against the car in sunlight. I understand it takes time to get a good match, but that's the whole point.
71507-TK6-A01ZA SPOILER, L. RR. SIDE *B548P* (DEEP SAPPHIRE BLUE PEARL)
Oh yeah, those must be the two bottom corner parts of the rear bumper... the body shop painted my bumper but not those 2 corners... so the paint mismatch was really obvious to me. They are painting the 2 parts to make it all match, but now that I have seen the mismatch its going to bug me forever!
